Liverpool break Champions League record with three players

League emerging as the first team with three players to net eight times in the League in a single season, and as well two of those players reached a remarkable 10-goal mark.
The Kops who recently beat AS Roma 5-2 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals are arguably the English team with most active frontline who are driven by the desire to see the back of the net at every single game

The trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane have scored over eight Champions League goals this season which is a world record feat, as no football team has ever reached that benchmark in the history of the prestigious league.

Nevertheless, the Egyptian, Mo Salah, and his Brazillian colleague, Roberto Firmino has recorded 10 goals each in the Champions League this season. One can comfortably say that Liverpool is the first team with three players who have scored eight goals, and two who have 10 goals to their name in the UCL.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah takes the number two position on this season's Champions League highest goalscorers table with Cristiano Ronaldo topping the chart. While the Liverpool striker has 10 goals so far, the Real Madrid playmaker has scored 15 times in the League this season. Roberto Firmino seats neck to neck with his teammate, Salah with 10 goals.

The perfect bonding among the three Liverpool frontline is one that can never be overemphasized as the result shows how cooperative and result-driven the team is which has once been commended by the manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Among Mohamed Salah's records, this season was that of being the African player with the most Champions League goals which was held before by Samuel Eto'o. Salah's 10 UCL goals now edge Eto'o's eight.

The aforementioned record has gone to show how effective Liverpool's frontline is as no other club in the world has got those number of players with a similar number of goals in the UEFA Champions League.

With one and possibly two more matches to go in the Champions League, there are possibilities that the Liverpool trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino can add even more feathers to their caps.
